Backyard Bog Balls

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Mix the base
In a bowl combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, bacon, green onions, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.

2️⃣ Form the balls
Scoop about 1–2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into small balls.

3️⃣ Chill
Place them on a tray and refrigerate for 30–45 minutes so they firm up.

4️⃣ Add coating
Roll each cheese ball in bacon bits, diced cheese, and herbs.

5️⃣ Optional marinade
Mix olive oil, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Drizzle lightly over the balls.

6️⃣ Serve
Place on lettuce leaves or a platter and serve with:

  • Crackers

  • Toasted baguette slices

  • Pretzels

  • Veggie sticks


Tips

  • You can make them 1 day ahead and keep refrigerated.

  • Add jalapeños if you want them spicy.

  • Great for BBQ parties, holidays, and potlucks.
